Outing Activities and Family Visits

Overview

Objective

The goal of our Outing Activities program is to provide a structured and engaging weekly outing program for our residents. This supports the development of appropriate social skills and promotes community integration.

Maintaining and repairing familial relationships is also a priority of Changing Youth Behavioral Health. Therefore, routine family visits are encouraged.

This program involves the planning and execution of various outing activities, including but not limited to local attractions, parks, cultural events, and recreational activities.

The program will take place once a week and be open to all residents. To support the development of self-advocacy skills, feedback about the types of activities is solicited from the residents. Aside from recreational outings, family visits are organized to keep our youth motivated.
