Residential Director

Job Summary

The Group Home Director is responsible for the day-to-day function of the residence. This role assumes responsibility for the residents and supervises the direct care staff.

The Group Home Director is accountable for the smooth operation of the facility, upholding the agency's philosophy and values. Provides oversight to the direct care staff to ensure prior supervision and guidance to the youth in the agency's care, to support the residents' safety and development.

The Director ensures the provision of high-quality services, including the collaboration of care with external providers and families. Responsible for assisting the CEO in managing the ordering and budget for the residence needs.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in social work, psychiatric nursing, psychology, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

·         Appropriate work-related experience may be substituted for some of the educational backgrounds.

·         At least two years of experience in a residential facility is preferred.

·         Completion of background checks, as required by state regulations.

·         Must have a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle.

Preferred Skills

·         Excellent interpersonal skills.

·         Exceptional planning and organizational skills.

·         Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

·         Must have good skills in childhood development, rehabilitation, and behavioral health.

·         Effective problem-solving skills.

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

Case Manager

Job Summary

The Case Manager supports the youth and their family successfully achieve their goals- through coordination of care and services, advocacy, support, and discharge planning.

The Case Manager ensures that the physical and mental health needs of the youth are met, coordinating medical, dental, therapy, and psychiatry appointments.

The Case Manager ensures that all parties working with the youth are updated about the youth’s needs. This role also helps coordinate transition plans, to help support the success of the youth with moving to a higher level of care or in successful discharge to their family home.

Qualifications

·         Associate degree in human services, childhood development, psychology, or a related field required.

·         Bachelor’s degree in human services, childhood development, psychology or related field is preferred.

·         At least two (2) year of experience working with youth in a residential facility is preferred.

·         Completion of background checks, as required by state regulations.

·         Must have a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle.

·         Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

·         Effective problem-solving skills.

·         Licensure/Certification: Not required

Residential Counselor

Job Summary

A Residential Counselor 1 is responsible for supporting the day-to-day function of the residence and the residents. Provides adequate supervision and support to the residents to ensure safety.

Offers support to promote educational, vocational, social, and community integration development. Support the goals and ensure the safety of each resident during weekends and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or equivalent required.

·         Associate degree in human services, childhood development, psychology, or a related field preferred.

·         At least one (1) year of experience in a residential facility is preferred.

·         Completion of background checks, as required by state regulations.

·         Must have a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle.

Youth Therapist

Job Summary

Youth Therapist responsibilities include conducting assessments, facilitating groups, treatment and discharge planning, and documentation of patient care. 

The Youth Therapist serves as a key member of the treatment team, assessing patient condition, fostering positive behavior, minimizing negative habits, monitoring progress, and helping improve patients' lives by creating individualized plans that meet their needs.

Counseling knowledge, patience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an approachable personality are required for the position. 

Qualifications

·         Master’s degree in social work or counseling, or related field required.

·         One (1) year of experience in a residential facility required, two (2) years preferred.

·         Appropriate educational background may be substituted for some of the work experience.

·         Completion of background checks, as required by state regulations.

·         Must have valid driver's license and an insured vehicle.

Preferred Skills

·         Excellent interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

·         Warm and engaging therapeutic approach.

·         Licensure/Certification: Valid LPC, LMSW, LCSW license required in the state of Pennsylvania.
